The future of travel is truly green. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint, recycle more, and limit our energy consumption globally. At our property, you will be able to observe the implementation of some smart and innovative initiatives when you stay with us, as well as a team that understands that being environmentally responsible for the future of our company is paramount.


The three pillars that make up our sustainability and social strategy are simple:

1.- Maintain family history and enhance our cultural values


For the Casa Hoyos family it is important to remain true to the genuine bohemian air that characterizes the city, along with the Hoyos family legacy we encourage our team to be kind enough to help our guests understand the importance of interior design, combined with the history of the house and family background which aims to protect the Hoyos family legacy.


2.- Promotion of sustainable operations


We strive to implement energy systems to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. Some ways we save energy are as follows; Water flow measures include the use of showerheads and faucets that are 45% more efficient. To combat wasted energy during washing, we don't change sheets daily, we only change towels if they are discarded, and we have developed a program to return. We offer a 20% discount on the next stay when guests decline our housekeeping. This discount is applied with the following criteria:



• The program cannot be used on the day of your departure.

• This discount is valid for a minimum of a 2 night stay.

• If your stay is 4 nights or more, your room will be intervened every third night.

• This discount is non-transferable, it cannot be applied during the active visit and cannot be redeemed for cash.


We do not use individual mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion in any of our rooms. On the other hand, our range of toiletries for rooms, LOREDANA, is dispensed through bottles with pump action. Our cleaning team refills these large bottles between stays. When bottles have to be replaced due to wear and tear, they are fully recyclable.


We strive to recycle all decomposable and reusable materials in our hotel and offices. Choose to give guests everything they need to know digitally. Most of our restaurant menus are available online or QR codes in every room, food and beverage packaging tends to be recyclable or compostable.


To ensure we have a positive impact on our environment, both locally and globally, we encourage our guests and crew to use reusable water bottles and reduce the use of plastic bags by providing reusable ones.


3.- Take care of our people


CASA HOYOS – BOUTIQUE HOTEL strives to do what's right for our team, we positively promote a culture that aligns with our mission, vision and values, continually challenging the status quo. We have several initiatives in place to facilitate growth and development, including trainings and monthly 1-on-1 meetings directly with General Management as internal communication.

We conduct an employee feedback survey annually, encouraging our entire team to participate. We share the results (whatever the outcome) and work hard to address any suggestions, ideas, or concerns.
